rue.jpg (21592 octets)The rupestral paintings of the Cougnac cave and the numerous megaliths give evidence that human beings have chosen very early this area to show their art abilities.

Gourdon was first a castrum, built on the top of a hill, with a castle and city walls. It owes its XVIth century apogee to its weavers and drapers.
